Sergio Aguero has won his fifth EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.
The Manchester City striker was the Premier League’s top scorer in the month of January, claiming five goals including a perfect hat-trick against Newcastle United.
The Argentinian also got an assist as Pep Guardiola’s team beat Watford, Newcastle and West Bromwich Albion, and were beaten 4-3 by Liverpool.
Aguero’s five awards match the totals of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
Only Harry Kane and Steven Gerrard, with six each, have won more.
He received the most combined votes from a panel of experts, Premier League captains and fans to claim the award ahead of five other nominees: Kevin De Bruyne, Christian Eriksen, Eden Hazard, Jan Vertonghen and Callum Wilson.
