Santiago Irala's header four minutes into stoppage time gave defending champions Porto a dramatic 2-1 quarter-final win over Liverpool.

Matty Virtue had given the Reds a 33rd-minute lead after a wonderful team move, before Adam Lewis hit the post with a free-kick.

But Porto started the second half strongly and Bruno Costa equalised in the 65th minute with a powerful finish.

Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward made two superb saves to keep the score level but he was powerless to prevent the unmarked Irala (pictured above) from sealing victory.

Porto join Arsenal and Villarreal in the semi-finals, along with the winners of next Wednesday's Wear-Tyne derby between Sunderland and Newcastle United.
