Many of the highest-ranked Fantasy Premier League managers in the world are not prepared for the reduced Gameweek 31 fixture list despite their lofty position.

Research by the FPL Show has shown the top 10,000 managers have an average of fewer than six players in their squad who could feature in Gameweek 31, which could hurt their ambitions.

Fantasy expert Mark Sutherns has acted early to buck the trend, bringing in Theo Walcott (£7.2m) and Xherdan Shaqiri (£6.3m), and says being ready for the four Gameweek 31 fixtures could make a big difference.

"That may have cost me some points up to this point but, I hope that's going to come back to me in Gameweek 31,” Mark says on the FPL Show.

"I should have 11 players come Gameweek 31. It'll be interesting to see how I do in comparison to some of the top 10,000 managers who only have six or seven. It could be a turning point in our seasons."
