Charlie Gilmour scored the only goal of the match against Swansea City to put Arsenal three points clear at the top of Premier League 2 Division 1 with one match to go and put paid to the Welsh side's own title hopes.
The match was decided with a fantastic goal two minutes after half-time when a low corner from Xavier Amaechi was dummied by two team-mates and Gilmour struck the ball into the top corner at Emirates Stadium.
In an exciting title race Arsenal have moved three points ahead of Leicester City, who have two matches left to play and can replace the Gunners at the top with a win at bottom club Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
Defeat puts Swansea out of title contention, as they are five points back in fourth with one match to play.
They are level on 34 points with Liverpool, who are still hopeful of winning the division, as they too have two matches remaining, beginning with a visit to Everton on Monday.
