Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino were on target as Liverpool completed a 2-0 victory over AC Milan in Santa Clara in the International Champions Cup friendly tournament on Saturday night.
Origi gave the Merseysiders the lead just before the hour with a fine strike into the far corner, with Firmino adding a second from close range shortly afterwards, to the delight of a packed Levi's Stadium.
Elsewhere in the United States, Leicester City were also in International Champions Cup action, but found themselves on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Premier League champions had excellent chances through Daniel Amartey, Riyad Mahrez, Leonardo Ulloa, Ahmed Musa and Marc Albrighton, but struggled to find a cutting edge in front of goal, and succumbed to their first defeat of pre-season.
Liverpool are next in pre-season action against Roma in St Louis on Monday, while Leicester take on Barcelona in Stockholm, Sweden, three days later.
There were a number of other friendly matches on Saturday, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic impressing on debut for Manchester United and big wins for Burnley and Swansea City.
