Manchester City have announced the signing of Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.
The 19-year-old forward will remain with Palmeiras until December and will join up with Man City in January 2017.
The Brazilian has agreed a contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
"Manchester City is one of the best clubs in the world so I'm really pleased to sign," he told mancity.com. "We have many great talents in the team and a fantastic manager in Pep Guardiola that I can learn so much from."
Born in Sao Paulo, Gabriel, who can play across the frontline, has gone from strength to strength since scoring 54 goals in 48 appearances at youth level for Palmeiras.
He has scored 26 goals in 67 matches for the Palmeiras first team and was named 'Best Newcomer' in Brazil's top flight in 2015.
"He is one of the most exciting young prospects in world football and plays the game in a spectacular way," added City director of football Txiki Begiristain.
Manchester City's final pre-season match before the start of the new Premier League campaign is against Arsenal in Gothenburg on Sunday.
Their first match of the new Premier League campaign is a home meeting with David Moyes' Sunderland on 13 August.
