2011: Birmingham City 1-1 Aston Villa
James Collins's equaliser salvaged a point for Aston Villa in their local derby showdown with Birmingham City.
Roger Johnson had given the hosts the lead with a well-taken volley shortly after half-time, but Collins hit back in the 73rd minute.
Villa, who struck the woodwork four times, climbed out of the bottom three into 17th place with 22 points, with Birmingham one spot and one point ahead.
2015: Sunderland sign Jermain Defoe
Prolific striker Jermain Defoe moved to Sunderland on a three-and-a-half-year contract and helped the club to avoid relegation.
The following campaign he was the club’s top scorer with 15 Premier League goals and was named their Player of the Season.
His final term at the club brought another 15 league goals, but the Black Cats were relegated.
In total, Defoe scored 34 times in 87 PL matches for Sunderland.
