Christian Eriksen has won the Carling Goal of the Month for the first time.
The 26-year-old won the April award for his 30-yard strike in Tottenham Hotspur's 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
"Before I received the ball I knew I had some space to take it into and to get my shot away," said Eriksen.
"It's definitely up there [as one of my best] and it's one of my most important goals. I am pleased with how it went in."
Eriksen's goal was one of eight nominated for the award, along with those of Dele Alli, Ayoze Perez, Paul Pogba, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne and Wilfried Zaha.
It won from the combined votes of a panel of experts and from the public, who picked their favourite via the Carling Tap and Carling website.
Eriksen is the second Spurs player to claim the Carling Goal of the Month award this season, after Victor Wanyama's rocket against Liverpool in February.
