Finding a low-owned player capable of delivering a big score could be crucial for Fantasy Premier League managers in the season finale, and Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk (£5.7m) fits the bill, according to Mark Sutherns in the latest FPL Show.
Facing Brighton & Hove Albion, who have only scored 10 away goals in the Premier League season, at Anfield, Van Dijk offers the prospect of a clean sheet.
But he is also a dangerous attacking option for the Reds.
"The statistics all point to Van Dijk being a threat," says Mark. "Since Gameweek 24 only the 'Fab Three' up front – Mane, Firmino and Salah – have had more penalty-area shots than Van Dijk.
"And Brighton have conceded more goals than any other team from corners, so he will be a big problem for him."
Food for thought then for managers seeking a powerful final-day differential.
