1998: Southampton 3-0 Blackburn Rovers
Egil Ostenstad struck twice as Southampton secured a 3-0 home win over Blackburn Rovers, undermining the visitors' title challenge.
Ostenstad opened the scoring midway through the first half and David Hirst then gave the Saints breathing room in the 78th minute, before Ostenstad rounded goalkeeper Tim Flowers to wrap up the victory.
Southampton moved up into 11th place while Blackburn slipped to fifth, 11 points behind leaders Manchester United.
2004: Charlton Athletic 3-2 Blackburn Rovers
Goalkeeper Brad Friedel scored a late equaliser for Blackburn Rovers, only to be beaten by a stoppage-time strike as Charlton Athletic grabbed a dramatic 3-2 victory.
Carlton Cole and Jason Euell gave the hosts a 2-0 half-time lead, but Blackburn hit back in the final 16 minutes of normal time.
Andy Cole intercepted a backpass to halve the deficit, and Friedel then came up for an 89th-minute corner and forced the ball into the net to level the scores.
There was still time for a late twist though, and Claus Jensen beat Friedel with a looping 20-yard effort to break Blackburn's hearts.
Charlton moved above Liverpool into fifth place, while Rovers dropped to 15th, four points above the relegation zone.
