2004: Southampton 2-2 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough scored twice in the dying seconds to grab a draw against Southampton.
New Saints boss Harry Redknapp looked set to start his reign with a win when Kevin Phillips and Peter Crouch headed in goals either side of the break.
But Danny Higginbotham's 89th-minute own goal gave Middlesbrough hope, and Stewart Downing then scored a spectacular 20-yard equaliser in stoppage time.
Middlesbrough’s comeback left them fifth on 29 points, two points outside of the top four, with Southampton 19th on 13 points, a point from safety.
2010: Newcastle United 3-1 Liverpool
Alan Pardew’s reign as Newcastle United manager got off to the perfect start with a 3-1 win over Liverpool.
Kevin Nolan opened the scoring and, although Dirk Kuyt equalised, late goals from Joey Barton and Andy Carroll gave Pardew his first win at St James’ Park and the club’s first victory in six league matches.
Newcastle climbed into eighth place on 22 points, just above Liverpool, who were left in ninth on the same tally.
