2001: Ipswich Town 5-0 Sunderland

Ipswich Town extended their winning run to three league matches with a thrashing of Sunderland.

The visitors had gone 203 minutes without conceding a goal, but they had to pick the ball out of their net four times between the 15th and 31st minutes.

Alun Armstrong struck two of those goals, while Thomas Gaardsoe and Finidi George were also on target. Jamie Clapham’s late strike added extra gloss to the scoreline.

Ipswich remained in 19th place but moved to 18 points, one point from safety, while Sunderland dropped to 10th on 26 points.

2007: Tottenham Hotspur 6-4 Reading

Dimitar Berbatov scored four times as Tottenham Hotspur came from behind three times to beat Reading, with seven of the 10 goals coming in the space of 25 remarkable minutes.

Berbatov and Kalifa Cisse traded strikes in the first half, before Ivar Ingimarsson headed Reading in front after the break. Chaos then ensued after the hour-mark.

Berbatov equalised in the 62nd minute, but Dave Kitson quickly restored Reading's lead. And, when Berbatov promptly completed his hat-trick, Kitson struck again to put Reading 4-3 up in the 74th minute.

The rapid scoring spree continued but the last three goals all went to Spurs, with Steed Malbranque and Jermain Defoe netting three minutes apart before Berbatov got Spurs' sixth in the 83rd minute.

Tottenham Hotspur moved up into 12th place on 24 points, leapfrogging Reading, who dropped to 13th on 22 points.
