1995: Savo Milosevic joins Aston Villa
Brian Little brought Savo Milosevic to the Premier League, when he signed the forward for Aston Villa.
The Serb hit the ground running after his club-record move from Partizan Belgrade, scoring 12 goals in 37 Premier League matches as the Villans finished fourth in his debut season.
Also in 1995/96, he scored as Villa won 3-0 against Leeds United in the League Cup final.
The club finished fifth and seventh in his last two PL seasons, and he ended his Aston Villa career with 29 goals in 90 league matches.
2012: Olivier Giroud joins Arsenal
After winning the French Ligue 1 title with Montpellier, Olivier Giroud signed for Arsenal.
The France striker scored 21 goals as he played a starring role in Montpellier’s shock title win.
In his debut season at Arsenal, Giroud scored 10 times in 34 Premier League appearances, 24 of which were starts.
He reached double figures for goals in each of his first five seasons at Emirates Stadium, helping the Gunners finish in the top four in the first four of those campaigns.
Giroud scored 73 goals in 180 PL matches for Arsenal, before he joined Chelsea in the 2018 January transfer window.
