It is a special time for Vincent Kompany.
Nine weeks after lifting the Premier League Trophy as Manchester City captain for a third time, he finds himself two matches away from winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Belgium.
That experience has been enhanced by being guided in Russia by one of his heroes, Thierry Henry, an assistant coach with the Belgium team.
Last year Kompany was asked to name one Premier League legend he would have loved to play with. He immediately identified the former Arsenal striker.
"He scores three goals and the game is over," he said of Henry. "It makes it easier for defenders, and he's represented so much for the Premier League.
"When he talks about it you can feel how clever he must have been as a player as well.
"How many of the tricks he would've known, besides his talent and his quality."
