1997: Blackburn Rovers 3-4 Leeds United

Ten-man Leeds United knocked Blackburn Rovers off the top of the table after beating them 4-3, with all seven goals coming in the opening 33 minutes.

Rod Wallace and Robert Molenaar gave Leeds a two-goal lead after six minutes, but Kevin Gallacher quickly hit back and Chris Sutton equalised with a 16th-minute penalty.

Parity only lasted for a matter of seconds as Wallace restored Leeds' advantage, and David Hopkin then made it 4-2 in the 23rd minute.

Martin Dahlin pulled a goal back for Blackburn just after the half-hour mark, but that was to be the last strike.

Although Leeds winger Harry Kewell was sent off 13 minutes from time, the visitors held on to win.

Blackburn slipped from top spot into second place, falling three points behind Manchester United after their first defeat of the season. Leeds moved up to ninth.

2002: Bolton Wanderers 2-3 Liverpool

Milan Baros scored twice on his Premier League debut and Emile Heskey struck an 88th-minute winner as Liverpool triumphed away against Bolton Wanderers.

Baros put the visitors ahead and, although Ricardo Gardner levelled, the Czech forward restored Liverpool's lead.

Ivan Campo brought Bolton level for a second time in the 87th minute, but Heskey immediately struck at the other end.

Liverpool moved to 12 points but slipped below Chelsea, whose 3-0 home win over Newcastle took them into fourth place.

Bolton ended the matchweek in 14th place with six points.
