Newcastle United earned a late victory over Manchester United after a seven-goal thriller, leapfrogging their visitors in the table.
Laurent Robert struck an early opener for the Magpies and, although Ruud van Nistelrooy equalised, strikes from Robert Lee and Nikolaos Dabizas put Newcastle 3-1 up after 52 minutes.
Man Utd fought back to level the scores for the second time, with Ryan Giggs and Juan Sebastian Veron scoring in the space of three minutes.
But Wes Brown's 82nd-minute own goal proved decisive, and United's Roy Keane was sent off with two minutes remaining.
Newcastle moved above Man Utd on goal difference, replacing them in fourth place with eight points.
2012: Arsenal 6-1 Southampton
Arsenal romped to an emphatic home win over Southampton and closed in on early leaders Chelsea.
The Gunners benefited from two first-half own goals, from Jos Hooiveld and Nathaniel Clyne, while Lukas Podolski and Gervinho were also on target as Arsenal went 4-0 up after 37 minutes.
Daniel Fox struck for the Saints just before the break but Arsenal scored twice more after the break, through Gervinho and Theo Walcott.
Arsene Wenger's side climbed to third and moved within two points of pacesetters Chelsea, who were held to a goalless draw by Queens Park Rangers.
Southampton remained at the bottom of the table, without a point on the board.
