Bassala Sambou struck three minutes after half-time to give Everton a 1-0 win over Leicester City at Goodison Park.
Sambou collected Joe Williams's pass and slotted it past Viktor Johansson to give the Toffees their first victory of the season and inflict the Foxes' first defeat.
Everton are joint-second with four points, one ahead of Leicester after two matches played.
