2008: Portsmouth 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Portsmouth bounced back from their 6-0 defeat at Manchester City by beating Tottenham Hotspur at home.

Two former Spurs strikers, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch, scored in either half for Harry Redknapp's side.

Lass Diarra was sent off for a second bookable offence, but his departure came late on with little time for the visitors to take advantage.

Tottenham Hotspur remained rooted to the bottom of the table with two points from six matches, while Portsmouth climbed to ninth with nine points.

Redknapp swapped clubs the following month, taking charge of Spurs. Defoe and Crouch then made the same move in the next two transfer windows, both returning to White Hart Lane.

2013: Aston Villa 3-2 Manchester City

Aston Villa twice came from behind to beat Manchester City, moving within one point of their visitors.

Yaya Toure gave Man City the lead just before the break. And, although Karim El Ahmadi equalised six minutes into the second half, Edin Dzeko quickly restored City's lead.

But Leandro Bacuna and Andreas Weimann stunned the away team with goals in the 73rd and 75th minutes, turning the match on its head.

Villa climbed to ninth in the table while City dropped to seventh, leaving the sides just two places and one point apart.
