Goals in each half from Max Kilman and Pote helped Wolverhampton Wanderers return to the top of Division 2 with a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough.
Wolves took the lead on 39 minutes when defender Kilman was picked out by Sadou Diallo to score from six yards following Niall Ennis' corner.
Benny Ashley-Seal missed a chance to extend Wolves's lead before half-time.
But with six minutes of the match remaining, Pote, who had earlier struck the woodwork, fired in an unstoppable effort to make sure of the victory.
Wolves have 16 points, a point and a place above Manchester United, who beat Norwich City 1-0 earlier in the day, while consecutive defeats leave Middlesbrough eighth.
