Everton were "outstanding from the first minute to the last" as they beat Benfica 2-0 to top their group in the Premier League International Cup, says David Unsworth.
The Everton coach saw Nathan Broadhead slot in the opener after superbly slaloming past the Benfica defence, before Josh Bowler sealed their 2-0 win on Friday night.
"It was great performance, a great win," Unsworth told Everton's official website.
"We had excellent team shape and work ethic. The boys were outstanding from the first minute to the last. It's a great result and I'm very proud of them."
Unsworth's side are top of Group D after picking up four points from two matches and victory against Bayern Munich in their final group fixture would secure a place in the knockout stages.
