Josh Barrett scored the winner as Reading beat Stoke City 2-1 to move to second in the Premier League 2 Division 2 table.

Stoke took the lead through defender Simranjit Thandi after only three minutes.

Michael Olise, making his first start at this level for Reading, replied on 22 minutes, before Barrett sealed victory 15 minutes later.

Reading, now nine matches unbeaten, are a point behind leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Stoke remain in sixth.
