The Premier League teamed up with NBC Sports to transport the authentic Premier League experience to fans in the USA, with the first stop in Washington DC, on Saturday, 29 September.

Some 2,000 Premier League fans descended on the US capital, some showing why they are among the most dedicated and loyal fans in the world by queuing from 2:30 in the morning to take part.

At the rooftop event overlooking the US Capitol, they shared their passion for the competition with the largest stateside Premier League event to date incorporating NBC Sports’ "Premier League Mornings" show.

The Premier League Mornings studio team of host Rebecca Lowe and analysts Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino and Robbie Mustoe broadcast live from Capitol View at 400 on N. Capitol Street and were joined by the Premier League's leading goalscorer Alan Shearer, and Chelsea legend Paulo Ferreira.

Fans joined the stars to cheer on their teams on a giant screen, starting with West Ham United's 3-1 win over Manchester United, continuing with the six matches at 10:00 ET, and culminating in the fabulous Chelsea draw with Liverpool.

"To see all of the legends, all the great players walking around, it's something special," said one Liverpool fan.

That sense of camaraderie was maintained despite the early hour.

"Hearing people singing songs at 6:30 in the morning, it's the best,” a Tottenham Hotspur supporter added.

And for the stars it was also a unique experience.

"It’s the best reception I’ve ever had from Man United fans!" Shearer, who once turned down joining the club, said. "Everyone’s so excited. It’s great to be here.

"The passion, the love, that the fans have shown for the Premier League, it’s been great and I can’t wait to come back."
