While Raheem Sterling (£11.2m) is the centre of attention in Fantasy Premier League if managers are seeking to bring in a Manchester City midfielder, they should be looking elsewhere.
FPL expert David Munday points out that Bernardo Silva (£7.5m) has avoided Pep Guardiola's rotation policy, starting 11 of the league leaders' 12 matches this season and completing 90 minutes on nine occasions.
And the midfielder showed his quality with two assists and 10 FPL points in a derby victory over Manchester United in Gameweek 12.
Unreliable Sterling?
"It's interesting because everybody's been flocking to Raheem Sterling, because he's been taking the headlines effectively," Munday said in the latest FPL Show.
"But he's missed two really favourable games at home against opposition you'd love him to play against.
"Bernardo Silva, he's a lot cheaper. He seems to be steady in his appearances and, generally speaking with Man City options, because they get rotated so often, it's best to stick to your guns.
"Get one guy, keep him, hope he ticks over. With 11 starts in 12, he [Silva] is the guy to do that."
