Two goals from Williams Kokolo helped Sunderland beat Peterborough United 4-1 to maintain their winning start to their Premier League Cup campaign.

The 18-year-old defender (pictured) opened the scoring for the away side in the ninth minute at the ABAX Stadium, before Siriki Dembele's deflected strike levelled the match.

Lee Connelly restored Sunderland's advantage from Adam Bale's 58th-minute cross before Jack Bainbridge headed in the Black Cats' third.

Kokolo wrapped up the win with his second goal to take Sunderland top of Group A, with six points from two matches.
