Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign goalkeeper Zack Steffen from Columbus Crew.
Steffen has agreed a four-year deal with the Premier League champions, which will begin in July, for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old, who started his career in Germany with Freiburg II, has been capped six times by the United States, and is regarded as "one of the most outstanding players in Major League Soccer", said City's official website.
He will remain at Columbus Crew until he joins up with Man City in the summer.
