For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first match in charge he will be without Alexis Sanchez (hamstring), Luke Shaw (back) and Chris Smalling (foot).

Romelu Lukaku has been absent from training this week, but Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof and Anthony Martial are all fit.

Only Arsenal, with 12, have won more points from losing positions in the Premier League this season than Cardiff and Man Utd, who have scrambled nine, level with Leicester.

Cardiff have won four of their last five PL home matches, as many as they had in their previous 22 in the competition.

United have lost their last three league away matches against promoted sides, as many as they had in their previous 36.

Of the 31 players with at least five PL goals this season, Romelu Lukaku has scored the highest percentage of them away from home. His five strikes on the road out of six works out as 83 per cent of his goals.
