Conor Gallagher scored a minute before half-time as Chelsea defeated Derby County to move up to fifth place in Premier League 2 Division 1.
Both sides created chances early on, with Ethan Ampadu just failing to get on the end of a floated free-kick from Gallagher.
Having missed a good opportunity moments earlier, Gallagher made the breakthrough when he finished into the top corner on 44 minutes.
Derby piled on the pressure after the break but Jayden Mitchell-Lawson and Alex Babos could not find an equaliser.
Chelsea are now on 24 points, two behind Derby who drop to fourth.
