Son Heung-min opened the scoring in the 41st minute before doubling the lead 11 minutes after the break, striking superbly from the edge of the area to give Christian Eriksen his second assist of the match.
Dele Alli added a third before the hour, turning in Kyle Walker’s cut-back.
Harry Kane got his first of the season, and the 50th Premier League goal of his career, from close range, to seal the win against a Stoke side, whose manager, Mark Hughes, was sent to the stands.
