Santi Cazorla’s stoppage-time penalty gave Arsenal a comeback 2-1 victory against Southampton at Emirates Stadium.
Referee Bobby Madley pointed to the spot after Jose Fonte had brought down Olivier Giroud, with Cazorla sending Fraser Forster the wrong way to seal victory in the 95th minute.
Saints took the lead when Dusan Tadic’s free-kick was tipped on to the crossbar by Petr Cech, only for the ball to ricochet off the Arsenal goalkeeper’s back and into the goal.
Arsenal, who handed a debut to Lucas Perez and Skhodran Mustafi, levelled in spectacular fashion, from Laurent Koscielny's bicycle kick after Saints had failed to clear a corner.
The home team's second-half pressure was rewarded with Cazorla’s late goal, securing their first home win of the league campaign.
