Andy Carroll was at the double as West Ham United made it five wins from seven Premier League matches with a 3-1 victory at Middlesbrough.
After scoring a goal-of-the-season contender against Crystal Palace in Matchweek 21, Carroll opened the scoring with a thunderous header from Manuel Lanzini’s corner.
Boro equalised on 27 minutes when Cristhian Stuani steered home at the back post after Calum Chambers was released down the right wing by Adama Traore.
But just before half-time Carroll restored West Ham’s lead, following up Michail Antonio’s parried effort to net his fifth of the season.
Substitute Jonathan Calleri's first Premier League goal made it 3-1 in stoppage time as Slaven Bilic’s side climbed into the top half of the table.
