Ben Mee's first-half header earned Burnley consecutive home wins as they beat Sheffield United 1-0 at Turf Moor.
Ashley Barnes was denied at point-blank range by Sheff Utd goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale early on, before Rhian Brewster had a header cleared off the line at the other end.
Burnley opened the scoring on 32 minutes when Mee headed in from Robbie Brady's inswinging corner.
David McGoldrick forced a save from Nick Pope early in the second half while John Egan flashed an effort from distance narrowly over the crossbar.
But Sheff Utd were unable to find an equaliser and they remain 20th on two points.
Burnley move up to 16th with 16 points.
