A spectacular strike from Riyad Mahrez helped Manchester City move 10 points clear at the top of the table as they won 3-1 at Everton.
Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva were also on the scoresheet as they became the first team to start a calendar year with 10 top-flight victories in a row.
Man City took the lead on 32 minutes when Foden's first-time effort deflected in off Seamus Coleman.
Richarlison made it 1-1 just five minutes later, converting with his knee from close range after Lucas Digne's shot came back off a post.
Mahrez restored City's advantage on 63 minutes as his ferocious shot from the right-hand side of the penalty area flew in off the far post.
Silva then added a third in the 77th minute, firing a powerful left-footed strike beyond Jordan Pickford.
City's 17th straight victory in all competitions puts them on 56 points, 10 above Manchester United and Leicester City. Everton stay seventh on 37 points.
