Diego Llorente's late header rescued a point as Leeds United denied Liverpool a win that would have taken them into fourth place.
Liverpool had taken a 31st-minute lead at Elland Road when Trent Alexander-Arnold set up Sadio Mane to end his goal drought of nine top-flight matches.
They had chances to double their lead but Illan Meslier saved from Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota, before second-half substitute Mohamed Salah dragged a shot wide.
Leeds threw everything at Liverpool as Patrick Bamford struck the crossbar before Tyler Roberts was somehow denied by Alisson at close range.
But the hosts rescued a point in the 87th minute when Llorente headed in Jack Harrison's corner for his first Premier League goal, extending Leeds' unbeaten run to five matches.
They stay 10th, behind Arsenal on goal difference, while Liverpool remain in sixth after missing the chance to move above West Ham United and Chelsea.
