Nathan Tella struck his first Premier League goal while Che Adams and Theo Walcott also scored as Southampton beat Fulham for their first back-to-back league wins of the year.
Adams put Southampton in front on 27 minutes with a smart close-range finish from James Ward-Prowse's free-kick.
Fulham almost equalised but Alex McCarthy saved from 18-year-old Fabio Carvalho on his first start, while Ward-Prowse saw another free-kick pushed away by Alphonse Areola.
On 58 minutes, Nathan Tella came off the bench for Southampton and just 98 seconds later, Kyle Walker-Peters crossed from the right for the forward to sweep in.
Carvalho smashed a shot in off the bar 15 minutes from time to give Fulham hope, but seven minutes later Walcott rounded off a flowing move for his first goal for Southampton at St Mary's in 15 years.
Southampton climb to 13th on 43 points, while Fulham remain 18th with their relegation confirmed.
