Allan Saint-Maximin's goal earned Newcastle United a 1-1 home draw with Leeds United as both sides were made to wait for a first Premier League win of 2021/22.
The visitors took the lead after 13 minutes, with Raphinha's curling cross from wide evading everybody and nestling in the bottom-left corner.
Joelinton was then denied from close range by Illan Meslier and Matt Ritchie hit a post before Saint-Maximin skipped past a couple of challenges and fired in the equaliser at the end of a pulsating first half.
The second half continued in a similar fashion, Saint-Maximin testing Meslier just before the hour mark.
Patrick Bamford could only find Karl Darlow's palms when one-on-one as Leeds failed to find a winner.
The result earns Newcastle, in 18th place, their second point of the campaign.
Leeds sit two places above them, having accumulated one point more.
