Raul Jimenez scored his first goal since fracturing his skull in November 2020 as Wolverhampton Wanderers recorded back-to-back wins with a 1-0 victory at Southampton.
Wolves started on the front foot and almost went ahead in the opening minute when Nelson Semedo's stinging shot was parried by goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
Southampton grew into the match and goalkeeper Jose Sa was called into action on 40 minutes, making a smart stop from Adam Armstrong.
Sa reacted quickly to thwart Valentino Livramento's effort on 55 minutes while Jimenez was denied by a Kyle-Walker-Peters block moments later.
But Jimenez was not to be denied, producing a superb turn and finish from Sa's long ball to beat McCarthy in style to claim the winner on 61 minutes.
It was the Mexican's first Premier League goal in 336 days since netting against Newcastle in October 2020.
Defeat means Southampton drop to 16th spot on four points. Wolves move up to 13th with six points.
