Armando Broja's maiden Premier League goal handed Southampton their first win of the season as they beat Leeds United 1-0.
Southampton started brightly and went close as Broja headed wide while Nathan Redmond was denied by Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
The home side remained on top early in the second half but Moussa Djenepo could only produce a tame effort that was easily saved by Meslier.
Saints took a deserved lead after 53 minutes as Redmond squared for Broja, who smashed into the roof of the net on his first Premier League start to become the first Albanian to score in the competition's history.
Daniel James dragged a shot narrowly wide late on but Southampton held on for a vital victory.
Saints climb to 15th place on seven points, one clear of 17th-placed Leeds.
