Goals from Neal Maupay and Adam Webster gave Brighton & Hove Albion a 2-0 win at Watford, ending the Seagulls' run of three straight draws.
Brighton took the lead in the 44th minute in superb fashion as Tariq Lamptey's cross was met by Maupay, who connected brilliantly with an awkward bouncing ball, sending his volley looping past Ben Foster and inside the far post.
Watford nearly equalised after the break as Emmanuel Dennis wriggled through a cluster of Brighton players and hammered a shot against the bar.
Brighton doubled their lead in the 83rd minute, with Webster pouncing from close range at the second attempt from a corner.
Graham Potter's side, who are unbeaten in seven matches, stay ninth but move one point behind Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Watford remain 19th on 15 points, three from safety, and are yet to score in their three matches under Roy Hodgson.
