Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney each got a goal and an assist as Brentford beat West Ham United 2-0 to move 12 points clear of the relegation zone.
Brentford bossed the first half, with Mbeumo being denied by Lukasz Fabianski before seeing a shot blocked by Aaron Cresswell.
West Ham lost Kurt Zouma to an early injury but they had two good chances themselves, Tomas Soucek heading straight at David Raya before Cresswell volleyed wide from a corner.
Brentford's pressure told just three minutes after the break, though, when Toney controlled a throw-in and released Mbeumo to smash in at the near post.
Mbeumo repaid the favour on 64 minutes as he looped in a cross for Toney to head in from close range.
West Ham failed to muster a shot on target in the second half as they became the third top-four hopeful to lose this weekend, after Arsenal and Manchester United.
They stay sixth on 51 points, six behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, having played a match more.
A fourth win in five matches lifts Brentford to 13th with 36 points, easing their relegation fears.
