Richarlison scored twice as Tottenham Hotspur beat Newcastle United 4-1 to earn their first win in six Premier League matches.
Destiny Udogie also scored his first league goal and Son Heung-min scored a penalty as Newcastle fell to a second consecutive defeat.
The result leaves Spurs in fifth with 30 points, four clear of seventh-placed Newcastle.
How the match unfolded
Newcastle went close to opening the scoring on nine minutes, but Ben Davies got his toe to Anthony Gordon’s cross, denying Alexander Isak a simple tap-in.
Spurs took the lead in the 26th minute through Udogie.
After playing the ball to Son down the left, Udogie ran into the penalty area and was on hand to slot in from the South Korean’s low cross.
Miguel Almiron shot tamely at Guglielmo Vicario as Newcastle looked to respond, but it was Spurs who doubled their lead seven minutes before half-time.
Kieran Trippier was caught out by a long crossfield pass, and after Son dribbled past the Newcastle right-back, he cut the ball back to Richarlison, who swept into the far corner.
It was 3-0 on the hour-mark, with Pedro Porro’s superb lofted pass finding Richarlison, who brought the ball down before slotting through Martin Dubravka’s legs.
The Brazilian's two goals against Newcastle matched his tally from his previous 39 Premier League appearances.
Brennan Johnson crashed a shot against a post and Son flashed an effort across goal with Spurs now rampant.
Callum Wilson made his return from injury for Newcastle, replacing Isak, but it was Spurs who added a fourth goal with five minutes remaining.
After Son was brought down by Dubravka for a penalty, the Spurs captain fired his spot-kick into the bottom-left corner for his 10th league goal of the season.
Dubravka saved from substitute Oliver Skipp while Son nearly added another as the home side continued to create chances at will, finishing the match with 23 shots.
Newcastle did grab a late consolation goal in the first minute of second-half stoppage time through Joelinton, who finished from Wilson's square pass.
