Newcastle United have announced the signing of Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder joins for an undisclosed fee on a deal through to June 2024.
Almiron, who has 13 caps for Paraguay and will wear the No 24 at St James’ Park, said manager Rafael Benitez was one reason for moving to Tyneside.
"The league is very competitive, this is a historic club, and Rafa Benitez himself were the main reasons why I am here now,” he told the club’s official website.
"I think it is a great responsibility, something beautiful for me, and I will try to offer the best I can to repay the trust the club put in me."
