Liverpool's trip to Southampton on Friday night will bring back special memories for Sadio Mane.
The Merseysiders' in-form Senegalese attacker spent two seasons with Saints, helping them finish seventh and sixth, and 14 of his 21 Premier League goals for the club came at St Mary's Stadium.
Three of those came in the space of an incredible three minutes as Southampton beat Aston Villa 6-1 on the south coast on 16 May 2015, making it the fastest hat-trick in PL history.
"Two minutes 56 seconds, I still remember that," Mane recalls fondly. "I didn't even know that I had broken the record. You know who told me? It was the referee.
"He told me, 'Mane, oh great, you broke the record, the fastest hat-trick ever.'
"I said, 'Oh, really? Thank you for the information by the way.'"
Mane scored three PL goals for Southampton against Liverpool, including a double in a 3-2 comeback victory in March 2016, before switching to Anfield that summer.
But he is still looking for his first goal for the Reds against his old club.
