The Scout is tipping five players to produce big points in Gameweek 37 of Fantasy Premier League.

Shane Long (SOU) £4.7m

Long's recent run of goals has been a major influence in Southampton’s successful bid for Premier League safety.

He netted just once in the first 32 Gameweeks but has since scored in four of Saints' last five matches.

The Irishman's underlying statistics also highlight his improvement.

He has averaged a shot every 30.1 minutes in the last four Gameweeks, down from 43.2 minutes beforehand.

And his ratio of shots on target has risen from 0.3 to 1.0 per appearance.

Gilt-edged opportunities

However, the main improvement has come with his number of big chances.

Long was supplied with just three of them in the opening 32 Gameweeks.

But he has had eight big chances in the last four Gameweeks alone.

Crucially, that total is more than any other player in FPL.

Attractive fixtures

Southampton’s remaining schedule suggests they can finish the season strongly.

They travel to West Ham United this weekend and then host Huddersfield Town.

37 WHU (A) 3
38 HUD (H) 2

According to the Fixture Difficulty Rankings (FDR), those matches score a combined total of five.

At a cost of just £4.7m, Long can get more goals and offer big value up front for the final two Gameweeks.
