On a high following their Matchweek 2 win over Newcastle United, Norwich City will be hoping to keep Frank Lampard waiting for his first victory as Chelsea head coach.

Team news

Daniel Farke says Timm Klose could make his first Premier League appearance of 2019/20 after recovering from a hip injury.

Defender Christoph Zimmerman (knee) is not quite back to match fitness, while midfielder Onel Hernandez has undergone knee surgery.

Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger could be in contention after completing 90 minutes in PL2 on Monday following a four-month absence with a knee injury.

But Frank Lampard is still without Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (both Achilles), plus Reece James (ankle).

Did you know?

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League meetings with Norwich City (W8 D2), last losing 3-0 at Carrow Road in 1994.

The Blues have lost only two of their last 22 matches against promoted teams (W15 D5). But those defeats have come in the last two seasons and against teams who came up as champions (0-3 v Newcastle United in 2017/18 and 1-2 v Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2018/19).

Norwich are looking to win a third consecutive Premier League home match for the first time since a run of five victories in December 2012.

With a goal against Chelsea, Teemu Pukki can become the 10th player to score in his first three Premier League appearances and only the second to net as many as five goals in his first three matches, after Pavel Pogrebnyak for Fulham.
