Saturday's trip to Goodison Park for Sheffield United will be a special occasion for John Lundstram.
The Merseyside-born player will be returning to his former club Everton as a Premier League player for the first time.
Lundstram was released by the Toffees four years ago, after coming through their Academy and a number of loan spells.
The midfielder reveals this fixture was the one he searched for when Sheffield United's Premier League matches were released in June.
"To be honest I was looking for Everton first really, as it was my old club and I can't wait to go back there," he said. "Hopefully I can prove people wrong."
Lundtram was speaking after receiving his Premier League Debut Ball, given to mark a homegrown player's first appearance in the competition.
After his release by Everton, he moved to Oxford United, then in League Two. Two years later, in 2017, he joined Sheffield United, whom he helped guide to promotion back to the top.
"Speaking with my family it was always my aim to try to get back up through the leagues," Lundstram said.
"My first aim was initially was to try to get back up to the Championship, and then getting to the Premier League now is something I always dreamt of."
