Newcastle United extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a goalless draw against Norwich City at St James’ Park.
Both goalkeepers were called upon in a match in which both sides had presentable scoring chances.
Norwich's Tim Krul, on his return to his former club, was the busier of the two 'keepers. The Dutchman denied Joelinton's header on 21 minutes and Miguel Almiron was unable to convert the rebound from close range.
Martin Dubravka had earlier kept out Sam Byram's header, and the Newcastle goalkeeper was also grateful to Federico Fernandez for putting in a block on Teemu Pukki's shot.
Allan Saint-Maximin's curled shot drew another save in the second half, while Norwich spurned the best chance to win it late on when Ondrej Duda hit the side-netting from close range.
Newcastle move up to 10th on 31 points.
The Canaries remain bottom with 18.
