Day 2 of the inaugural ePremier League Invitational tournament has come to a close, and it was packed with goals as Premier League players and celebrity fans faced each other on EA SPORTS FIFA 20 in the last 16.
Two top wingers went head-to-head in the day's opening duel, with Raheem Sterling winning 5-4 for Manchester City against Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.
Sterling will face Everton's Andre Gomes in the quarter-finals after the Portuguese midfielder put on a FIFA 20 masterclass, beating Chelsea's Reece James 8-0.
Trent Alexander-Arnold also impressed as he guided Liverpool to a 5-1 win over musician Tom Grennan, who was representing Manchester United.
The action concluded with a late 2-1 victory for Newcastle United, represented by Christian Atsu, against Tottenham Hotspur's former Magpies midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
Atsu will meet Alexander-Arnold in the last eight.
