Everton moved back to the top of the Premier League 2 Division 1 table with a 4-1 win over Leicester City at Southport's Merseyrail Community Stadium.

Callum Connolly's quickfire opener was cancelled out by Jeffrey Schlupp's effort, but two early second half goals from Oumar Niasse and Harry Charsley put Everton on top.

Substitute Courtney Duffus completed the scoring to put the Toffees two points ahead of Manchester City, who led the table for a day following their 2-1 win over Reading on Sunday.

Everton's next match is at home to Athletic Bilbao in the Premier League International Cup on Monday 21 December, while Leicester host Nottingham Forest in the Premier League Cup at Loughborough University on Friday afternoon.
