Exercise is not just about running, push-ups or other fast motions.

You can do your body a lot of good and build up muscles through slower-moving activities, such as yoga or pilates.

Yoga has been popular among Premier League players for a number of years, with many crediting it for extending their careers. 

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez says that thanks to doing yoga and pilates on a weekly basis since an injury earlier in his career, he has not missed a training session.

It is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance.

For yoga exercises, try the globally popular "Yoga with Adriene" on YouTube, as recommended by Sport England.

Pilates

Pilates is similar to yoga but focuses more on strengthening your body, especially your core strength, to build stability.
