Ilkay Gundogan has become the first Manchester City player to win back-to-back EA SPORTS Player of the Month awards after claiming the prize for February 2021.
The midfielder produced four goals and an assist in the month as he became the first German to win the accolade more than once.
Trophy target
“I am very proud to win this award again but I am most proud of being part of this amazing team,” he told Man City's official website.
“To win all our games in February, like we did in January, is amazing. Hopefully we can continue like this because, ultimately, winning trophies is what matters."

Gundogan started February by setting up Raheem Sterling's goal at Burnley with a pinpoint low cross, the first of five victories he featured in.
He scored twice in a 4-1 triumph at champions Liverpool, while also getting two goals against Tottenham Hotspur, including a superbly taken strike from a long pass by goalkeeper Ederson.
The last time City players won in consecutive months was in 2016, with Sergio Aguero claiming in April's prize, followed by Raheem Sterling in August.
Gundogan topped an eight-man shortlist that included Joachim Andersen, Harvey Barnes, Joao Cancelo, Bruno Fernandes, Jesse Lingard, Ruben Neves and Raphinha.
